Unfortunately, today is not my day and I'm not well enough to come in. We will have class as scheduled on Tuesday. Please continue to work on the Omelas study as we have discussed. What, in the news over the past few years, strikes you as similar - in action or spirit - to the situation of Omelas? Next, what in your own lifetime of experience or observation would you relate to the story of Omelas?
We would have gotten back to the subject of the large project: if you could change something, what would it be? Think about what sort of cause you could become an activist about. What would your topic be and how would you research it and share it with the class at the end of the semester? PowerPoint? A short film? Art? Music? Something hands-on? Please begin to brainstorm and be ready for class discussion.
